ACTING VICE-CHANCELLOR INAUGURATES ADVISORY COMMITTEE OF THE UNIVERSITY, EXPRESSES HOPE FOR ITS SUCCESS

The Advisory Committee of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka was today, Tuesday 24th June 2025 formally inaugurated by the Acting Vice-chancellor, Prof Carol C. Arinze-Umobi in her office.

Addressing the 5-man committee, the Ag Vice-Chancellor reminded them of the importance of their assignment. Prof Arinze-Umobi informed them that their powers are to investigate and offer recommendations to facilitate the growth of the University. The Ag Vice-Chancellor noted that the choice of the calibre of men and women in the committee was made out of their individual capabilities, such that they are known to say the truth at all times. She thanked them for accepting to serve on the committee.

Though the life span of her administration is for six months, the Ag Vice-Chancellor expressed the hope that the committee would be eventful and result-oriented. She further assured them of her full support to help them carry out their assignment.

Responding, the Chairman of the Committee, Prof Philomena Igbokwe, on behalf of the members of the committee, expressed gratitude for being chosen to serve. She promised that the committee would do a thorough and good job of certifying their calling.

Other members of the committee in attendance were Prof. Makodi Bierenu-Nwabugwu, Prof Chike H. Nwankwo, Prof Apakama Akunne Ijeoma and Mr Obinna Ahaneku (Secretary).
