Today at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Joseph I. Ikechebelu, warmly welcomed renowned Nigerian diplomat and former Commonwealth Secretary-General, Chief Emeka Anyaoku, GCON (Adazie Obosi), to the university. He was led on the visit by the SAVC (General Duties), Prof Au Nnonyelu who is also the Director of the Emeka Anyaoku Institute.
Chief Anyaoku was on campus to inspect the progress of construction at the Emeka Anyaoku Institute for International Studies and Diplomacy. During his visit, he also engaged in discussions regarding potential dates for the formal commissioning of the building.
The Emeka Anyaoku Institute, once fully operational, is set to become a center for advanced learning, offering postgraduate programmes in international studies and diplomacy under the auspices of Nnamdi Azikiwe University.
