The visit was led by Professor Nkiru T. Meludu, who expressed appreciation to the Vice Chancellor for his support and assistance to the Institute.
Prof. Meludu said the land allocated to the Institute had been put to productive use through the cultivation of various useful crops and plants, including some species that had become at risk of extinction.
According to her, the Institute's activities are aimed at promoting sustainable agriculture, preserving valuable plant species and demonstrating how organic agricultural practices can contribute to the development of the university and wider society.
She noted that the products brought to the Vice Chancellor were presented to demonstrate the potential of the Institute and its capacity to contribute meaningfully to the University's development.
Among the products showcased were various brands of SCEENK Blended Infusion Teas, pumpkin leaves and other agricultural products produced through agroecological practices. Responding, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Bond Ugochukwu Stanley Anyaehie, commended the Institute for its efforts and stressed the importance of ensuring that university investments generate tangible returns.
He noted that while it was important for the Institute to benefit from the University's support, the University itself must also derive value from the investments made in such initiatives.
The Vice Chancellor emphasized that productivity alone was not enough, stressing the need for effective commercialization and marketing strategies to ensure that products developed through university investments could generate sustainable revenue.

Prof. Anyaehie said he believed strongly in productivity and profitability, adding that the University's investments should ultimately translate into measurable gains for the institution.
He therefore encouraged the Institute to focus not only on producing quality agricultural products but also on developing effective strategies for packaging, marketing and commercializing them.
