Nnamdi Azikiwe University Names Samuel Nnaemeka Ufoh as Acting Registrar

Mr. Samuel Nnaemeka Ufoh has been appointed as the Acting Registrar of Nnamdi Azikiwe University by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Charles Okechukwu Esimone, FAS, FPSN, effective April 8, 2024.

In a letter addressing Mr. Ufoh, the Vice-Chancellor stated, “In the absence of the Governing Council of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka and in the exercise of my powers as the Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, I hereby appoint you Acting Registrar of the University with effect from Monday, April 8, 2024.”

Prior to this appointment, Mr. Ufoh served as the Deputy Registrar (Personnel Unit) and Congregation representative at the 9th Governing Council of the University.

Mr. Ufoh’s tenure as Acting Registrar will continue until the appointment of a substantive Registrar, except as may be dictated by any emergent exigencies.

The Vice-Chancellor extends congratulations to Mr. Ufoh, expressing confidence in his ability to fulfill the duties of his new role effectively.

Mr. Ufoh is a professional member of the Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA) and a member of the Institute of Public Administration (MIPA). He hails from Nri, Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State, and is an alumnus of the University of Nigeria. Additionally, Mr. Ufoh serves as an ordained clergy of the Foursquare Gospel Church, Awka.

Mr Ufoh takes over from Barr. Philomena Iwara Okoye whose tenure expired on April 7, 2024.
