Reconstruction Begins at the Physiology Department, Okofia, as Ag. Vice-Chancellor Assures Timely Completion

Reconstruction work has officially commenced at the Department of Physiology, Okofia, Nnewi Campus, following assurances from the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joseph I. Ikechebelu, on the timely completion of the project.

The development comes after Prof. Ikechebelu visited the site shortly after assuming office, where he assessed the extensive damage caused by the fire incident that occurred on Thursday, November 21, 2024. The inferno had destroyed the building housing the department’s laboratories, offices, and classrooms.

In response to the disaster, construction has now begun on a new two-storey building that will feature modern classrooms, laboratories, and office spaces. The swift commencement of the project has sparked excitement among students and staff, who have lauded the Acting Vice-Chancellor’s commitment to restoring and improving the infrastructure in the campus.

As work progresses, it is clear that Prof. Ikechebelu is poised to leave an indelible mark as his BLESSeD Vision continues to take sharp.
