Earlier today, the newly and properly elected members of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) Branch Executive Committee, Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), paid a courtesy visit to the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Joseph I. Ikechebelu, in his office.
During the visit, the SSANU Vice-Chairman for the South East Zone, Comrade Engr. Okey Animba urged the new executives to align with the BLESSeD Agenda of the Acting Vice-Chancellor. He commended Professor Ikechebelu for fostering peace, progress, and development in UNIZIK since assuming office. Pledging the union’s support as partners in progress, he expressed prayers for the university’s continued growth.
In her remarks, the newly elected Chairperson of SSANU UNIZIK, Comrade Mrs Anthonia Chukwudi, assured the Acting Vice-Chancellor of the union’s commitment to advancing the university while prioritizing the welfare of SSANU members. She expressed gratitude for his fatherly guidance and pledged an inclusive leadership approach that ensures all members are carried along.
Addressing the executives, Professor Ikechebelu tasked Comrade Anthonia Chukwudi with leading SSANU UNIZIK to excellence and ensuring that all members are actively engaged in the union’s programs.
The courtesy visit was led by SSANU National Vice-President, South East Zone, Comrade Engr. Okey Animba, alongside the newly elected executives. Other members of the executive committee include:
