As CEO Golden Waters Agency Ltd donates kits to Contingent
The sports team of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, has received a major boost ahead of its participation in the 2026 All African University Games scheduled to hold in Cairo, Egypt, from September 7th to 17th, 2026.
The boost came through a donation of sports kits by the CEO of GoldenWaters Agency Ltd., Lagos, Chief Ozzy Alagbu. The items were presented to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ugochukwu Bond Anyaehie, by the Ag. Director of Sports, Chukwudi Anthonia, and the Chairman of the University Sports Committee, Prof. Dereck Orji.
The gesture, which was aimed at supporting and motivating the University’s athletes ahead of the continental competition, also included a customised tracksuit presented to the Vice-Chancellor by the donor.
Receiving the items, the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ugochukwu Bond Anyaehie expressed delight over the donation and appreciated Chief Alagbu for his support and encouragement to the University’s sports team. He noted that such gestures would further motivate the athletes to give their best as they
represent the University on the African stage.
The Vice-Chancellor charged the athletes to remain focused and determined, urging them to go for nothing less than a gold medal at the Games. He expressed confidence in their ability to make the University proud and encouraged them to return from Cairo with outstanding results.
Prof. Anyaehie further expressed his excitement at the prospect of cheering the team on, promising to travel to Cairo to support them personally if they make it to the final stage of the competition.
Also present at the presentation were Mr. Emeka Okeke and Mr. Emeka Alagbu.
