UNIZIK VC reiterates commitment to administrative excellence as Nzuko Nkwerre Pays Courtesy Visit
The Nzuko Nkwerre, Imo state, UNIZIK on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Prof. Ugochukwu Stanley Bond Anyaehie, at his office.
The delegation was led by the Chairman of Nzuko Nkwerre UNIZIK, Mr. Nnamdi Silas Nnadozie, of the Department of Industrial Technology Education.
In his remarks, Mr. Nnadozie congratulated the Vice-Chancellor on his assumption of office and expressed gratitude to God for the opportunity for an Imo indigene to serve as the Vice-Chancellor of the University.
He commended Prof. Anyaehie for the various ongoing projects across the University, as well as projects already completed within the few months of his administration. He prayed for God's continued guidance, protection and wisdom for the Vice-Chancellor throughout his tenure.
Also speaking, Prof. T. U. Mbaeri, Professor of Surgery and Head of Department, appreciated the Vice-Chancellor for the warm reception accorded the delegation. He appealed to the Vice-Chancellor to continue to ensure fairness and inclusiveness in his administration.
Responding, the Vice-Chancellor thanked the members of for the visit and described them as members of his family. He encouraged them to remain diligent and committed to their duties.
Prof. Anyaehie reiterated his determination to do everything within his capacity to ensure that Nnamdi Azikiwe University continues to work effectively as an excellent citadel of learning and also achieve its mandate.
He further assured the delegation that he would not use the powers of his office to chase people away, emphasizing his commitment to an administration that promotes unity, responsibility and the progress of the University.
