Acting Vice-Chancellor Commissions Projects at Faculty of Social Sciences

The Acting Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Prof. Joseph I. Ikechebelu, has commissioned two significant projects initiated and completed by the outgoing Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Prof. Frank-Collins Nnamdi Okafor.

During his tenure, Prof. Okafor prioritized staff and student welfare, as well as infrastructural development within the Faculty. As he prepares to leave office, he has successfully delivered a giant signboard and a games room, providing staff with a space to relax, engage in recreational activities, and continue their work in a conducive environment.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Prof. Ikechebelu commended the outgoing Dean for his dedication and contributions to the Faculty. He encouraged other Faculty Deans to initiate meaningful projects that would improve academic and administrative experiences. The Vice-Chancellor also expressed gratitude to Prof. Okafor for his achievements and wished him success in his future endeavors.

The event was attended by key university officials, including the Acting Registrar, Mr. Victor Modebelu, the SAVC (General Duties), Prof. Au Nonyelu, as well as academic and non-teaching staff and students of the Faculty.

With initiatives like these, UNIZIK continues to shine as a center of academic excellence and development.
