At the induction ceremony held on 15th March, a total of 125 graduates took the Hippocratic Oath, officially becoming medical doctors.
With this milestone, the Faculty of Medicine at Nnamdi Azikiwe University has now produced 2,701 medical doctors.
These doctors are making significant contributions both locally and globally.
The 54th Induction Ceremony was graced by several distinguished guests, including the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Barrister Monsur Olugbenga Kukoyi; the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joseph I. Ikechebel; the Acting Registrar, Mr. Victor Modebelu; and the Bursar, Mr. Gozie Egwuatu, Prof. J.K.C. Emejulu (Provost, CHS); the Chief Medical Director of NAUTH, Prof. Joseph O. Ugboaja, OON.
Also in attendance were some members of the university’s Governing Council—Prof. Ikenga Oraegbunam, Prof. Igwebuike Onyiaoroh, Engr. Ikechukwu Onwuemena, and Hon. Ndubuisi Nwobu—along with Prof. Ada Sam-Omenyi (SAVC Academics), and Prof. Emma Obidinma (Provost-Elect, CPS), Emeritus Prof Brian Adinma, Deans of Faculties in the College of Health Sciences, Dr. Tijjani Mandaka (who represented the Registrar of MDCN).
