UNIZIK IMMORTALIZE SEN. (DR) PATRICK IFEANYI UBAH

Shortly after the COVID-19 lockdown, the Late Sen. (Dr.) Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah (Ebubechukwu Uzo) demonstrated his commitment to philanthropy by mobilizing support from friends and associates across the country, particularly from Anambra State, to establish a state-of-the-art medical center for Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
This facility was designed not only to serve the staff and students of the university but also to provide essential primary healthcare services to the surrounding communities.
In recognition of his immense contributions, the University Management, under the leadership of Prof. Joseph I. Ikechebelu, chose to immortalize the distinguished senator during the #UNIZIK19thConvocation by naming the medical center “Sen. (Dr) Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah Medical Complex, Awka” in his honour.
During a brief ceremony to unveil the signage for the medical complex, the Visitor to the university paid tribute to the late senator, describing him as a “good man” whose generosity and dedication to humanity left a lasting impact. The Visitor was represented by Prof. Joseph Eberendu Ahaneku, former Vice-Chancellor of UNIZIK and the current Vice-Chancellor at the National University of Science and Technology (NAUST), Abuja.
Through his selfless acts, Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah’s legacy continues to inspire, ensuring that his vision for accessible healthcare and community development lives on.
May the soul of the Late Distinguished Sen. Patrick Ubah continue to rest in peace. His memories live on.
