In a bid to enhance the student experience and provide solutions to pressing needs, the Acting Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Prof. Carol Chinyelugo Arinze-Umobi, recently led a high-powered delegation to commission several impactful projects.

The projects, designed to improve the quality of life for students, include the installation of solar-powered free internet WiFi at Male and Female Hostels in the University Main Campus, Mbaukwu and Agulu Campus respectively.

A solar-powered borehole at the University Boys Hostels (Basil Oli and Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu Hostels).

A solar-powered charging points for students at all the male and female hostels in the University main Campus, and solar-powered lights for students at all the male and female Hostels in the University main Campus.

The commissioning was done by notable personalities, including the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Barr. Olugbenga Kukoyi, represented by Dame Amina Elizabeth Yakowa, Chief Barrister Olisa Metuh (Akajiugo). Also witnessed by Mr. Chukwuma Ugbala Ofoke, a member of the Governing Council of the University.

The projects highlight Prof. Arinze-Umobi’s commitment to providing a conducive learning environment and leveraging technology to enhance student life.
