    *UNIZIK Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Bond Ugochukwu Anyaehie, Receives Delegation from Faculty of Engineering on a Courtesy Visit Ahead of International Conference.*

    In preparation for its 2026 International (Hybrid) Conference, scheduled to take place at the ASUU Secretariat from February 11-12, 2026, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Ugochukwu Okonkwo, FNSE, led a delegation to pay a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Bond Ugochukwu Anyaehie, who was represented by the Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Hilda Osisioma.

    During the visit, Prof. Okonkwo informed the Vice-Chancellor’s representative of the purpose of their visit, which was to formally notify him of the upcoming International Conference.

    The conference, themed “Sustainable Engineering for a Resilient Future,” will feature distinguished guests, including His Excellency, Senator Engr. Dave Umahi, CON, FNSE; the Honourable Minister of Works; Dr. Eni Oko from Newcastle University, England, as the lead paper presenter 1; HRM, Igwe Dr. Benneth Izuchukwu Emeka; Okebo Umueri; Prof. Michael Ngadi from McGill University, Canada, as the second lead paper presenter; and Hon. Engr. Dom Okafor, a member of the House of Representatives for Aguata Federal Constituency as the chairman of the occasion.

    In response, the Vice-Chancellor’s representative welcomed the visitors and expressed the expectation of productive deliberations during the conference. The representative also apologized for the Vice-Chancellor’s absence, explaining that he was on an official trip outside the institution.

    Professor Nkiruka Enyinnaya Nwaiwu,
    Professor Celestine Akaolisa Ezeagu, Prof. Charles Okpala, Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee, and others.
