ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

MASTER OF SCIENCE (M.SC) IN PEACE AND CONFLICT RESOLUTION

Admission Requirements

  1. 5 O-level to include English Language, Mathematics, and any other three relevant subjects at not more than two sittings.
  2. The candidate must have a first degree in relevant Social Sciences discipline, with FCGPA of not less than 2.5 from Nnamdi Azikiwe University or a recognized university.
  3. A Candidate with a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) with an FCGPA of not less than 3.00 may also be admitted provided the university matriculation requirements are satisfied.

 

Masters in Peace and Conflict Management (MPCM) (Executive)

Admission Requirements

    1. 5 O-level to include English Language, Mathematics, and any other three relevant subjects at not more than two sittings.
    2. The candidate must have a first degree in Social Sciences, Management Sciences, Arts, Law, Engineering, etc. with FCGPA of not less than 2.5 from Nnamdi Azikiwe University or a recognized university.
  • A Candidate with a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) with an FCGPA of not less than 3.00 may also be admitted provided the university matriculation requirements are satisfied.

 

DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY (PHD) PROGRAMME IN PEACE STUDIES AND CONFLICT RESOLUTION

Introduction

The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution has three core areas of specialization. Each candidate is expected to specialize in one of them.

  1. Internal Conflict Studies and Peace Analysis
  2. Conflict & Security Studies
  3. International Conflict and Peace Building

Admission Requirements

A candidate who holds a Master’s degree in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution or Political Science with FCGPA of not less 3.50 on a 5 point scale or an average of 60% from Nnamdi Azikiwe University or a recognized University may be admitted provided the University Matriculation requirement is satisfied.
