Bishop Owen Nwokolo Receives UNIZIK VC, Offers Prayers for a Successful Tenure.
The Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Professor Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, has been admonished to lead with discernment and divine wisdom as he oversees the affairs of the university. This charge was given by Bishop Owen Nwokolo, Bishop on the Niger, during a special service held in honor of the Vice-Chancellor at the Calvary Chapel of the Bishop’s Court, Onitsha, on Tuesday, 17th February 2026. In his exhortation, Bishop Nwokolo prayed for God’s guidance, strength, and wisdom upon the Vice-Chancellor, urging him to uphold integrity, fairness, and courage in leadership. He emphasized the importance of discernment in decision-making and steadfast commitment to excellence in the administration of the university.
The Vice-Chancellor was accompanied by members of the university management team, including Professor Hilda Osisioma, Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor; Dr Chinenye Gloria Okeke, Registrar; Mr Gozie Egwuatu, Bursar; Professor Stella Anasi, University Librarian; Mr Njelita Louis, Acting Public Relations Officer; and other personal aides of the Vice-Chancellor.
The special service underscored the importance of spiritual support and unity as the Vice-Chancellor embarks on his tenure at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
