The Social Innovation in Health Initiative (SIHI) Nigeria Hub is a program that empowers communities to drive social health innovations in Nigeria. It is part of a global network established in 2014 to accelerate universal health coverage through social innovation and community engagement. The Nigeria Hub is hosted by Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
On Friday, 6th February, 2026, a delegation from SIHI paid a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Professor Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, to brief him on the organization’s activities and solicit his support and encouragement. The delegation comprised Emerita Professor Obioma Nwaorgu FAS; team leader, Dr. Ogechukwu Aribodor; Programme Manager. Other members of the delegation were Professor Chinyere Stella Okunna, Professor Chinyelu Ekwunife, and Professor Chinyere Onubogu.
