DIGITALIZED STUDENTS-CLEARANCE PROCESS COMPLETED – UNIZIK VC, PROF. ESIMONE

A digitalized clearance process for fresh graduands of the University has been put in place as part of the vision for Project 200 of the present administration.

These concept was put in place and made known by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Charles Esimone during an interview with UNIZIK FM Correspondent Iyke Nwokedi.

Prof. Esimone stated that part of a society which seek to have rapid change in administrative process is by incorporating Information, Communication, Technology in its activities. One way the administration intends to reduce the stress and time spent by the fresh graduates of the University during their final clearance process before obtaining their statement of results is via electronic clearance. The scholar revealed that a Software programme has been developed to help navigate the challenges faced by fresh graduates of the University during their clearance.

Prof. Esimone stated that with the existence of the Software, the norm where physical clearance is needed will be relegated to save time, stop movement of files from one unit to another as well as the rigorous exercise of movement from one office to the other which used to be the usual process. The Professor of Biopharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Microbiology also posited that the University is tending towards digitalization of its process which is one of the attributes of a world-class University.
