Master’s Degree Programme

The major objective of the Master of Arts’ degree programme in English is to deepen students’ understanding of language and literature and thus familiarize them with the principles underlying various studies in the areas.

Candidates for admission are holders of an honour’s degree in English of Nnamdi Azikiwe University or from any other university recognized by the Senate of the University. However, graduates in related disciplines may also be considered provided they score the required overall minimum points in language and literature courses of their undergraduate programme. We do not admit those who have (3rd class or 22) below FCGPA of 3.00 on a 5 point scale.
