    Admission Requirements

    Prospective candidates should in addition to obtaining the minimum university entry requirements, also have a minimum of credit level in the English Language and a pass in Mathematics or in a science subject. That is for UME students. Direct Entry students are expected to possess a diploma in Linguistics from a recognized university or an NCE with a credit in the language of their choice. The admission requirements for the Continuing Education Programme (CEP) are the same as the UME requirements.

     

    Duration

    4-year programme for UME, 3-year programme for direct entry, and 6-year programme for CEP, leading to BA in Linguistics; during this period, candidates are required to register for and take prescribed courses totaling 110-135 units.
