Mission
To produce the “total man” who possesses full awareness of God’s relationship with man and whose personal character and discipline will reflect authentic religious values and virtues for a proper and effective guidance of the society.
Admission Requirements:
- Admission into the Department by entrance requires all candidates to satisfy the minimum University entry requirements:- five credits in Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent, including English Language and Bible Knowledge.
- Direct entry candidates must have five credits in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB or their equivalents three must be Credits in ordinary level including English Language and Bible Knowledge and two passes in Advanced level including Religious Knowledge.
- Holders of the 2-year undergraduate diploma from this and other approved Universities; and a 3-year Diploma of under mentioned institutions (and related Institutions) are admitted by Direct Entry for a 3-year programme:

The Department intends to offer three kinds of programmes:
- A 4-year B.A. Honours Degree Programme in Religion and Human Relations by JAMB entrance examination.
- A 3-year B.A. Honours Degree Programme in Religion and Human Relations by Direct entry.
- A 3-year B.Ed. Honours Programme in Religion/Education Programme by Direct Entry.
