FACULTY OF LAW FURTHER RULES AND REGULATIONS

DRESS CODE:

Male students are not allowed to put on jean trousers, sandals and earrings. Also they are not allowed to put on ties of any other colour other than black along with white shirt, black shoe and black stockings.

Female students shall put on black skirt with white shirt, black gown, black shoe, moderate earrings, sober/black coloured bag.   Red and all shouting colours, bogus earrings, black sandals, hot mini skirt, transparent and immodest blouses are not allowed.

 

GSM USAGE:

(a). Phones are to be switched off during lectures.

(b) Phones are not allowed in examination halls and libraries.

 

PAYMENT OF FEES:

All fees including Faculty and departmental dues are to be paid in the banks and not to pay cash to any staff in the Faculty. Failure to pay the required fees disqualifies a student from taking examinations.

 

ATTENDANCE TO LECTURES:

Attendance to lecture is mandatory. Students must make attend at least 75% of lectures in order to qualify for examination.

 

 BEHAVIOUR/ATTITUDE:

Fighting is strictly forbidden for students. They shall not use abusive words against one another. Penalty includes serious disciplinary actions.

 

 LAW DINNERS:

Law dinners are mandatory as part of the assessment in character for the award of a degree in law, except with cogent reason under the permission of the Dean through the Faculty Staff Adviser.

 

CULTISM:

Students are not allowed to belong to any secret cult whatsoever. The Dean is mandated by the Council of Legal Education to indicate in a student’s Law School form if he/she is found to belong to any secret cult. The result is that the student will never be admitted into the Nigerian Law School.
