Faith Community Rallies Around UNIZIK Vice-Chancellor with Prayers and Support.


UNIZIK Vice-Chancellor Receives Delegation from St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Chaplaincy, UNIZIK.
The Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Prof. Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, has received members of the Chaplaincy Council of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Chaplaincy, UNIZIK during a courtesy visit to his office.
The delegation, led by the Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Stephen Echezona, visited the Vice-Chancellor to congratulate him on his appointment and to offer prayers for wisdom, strength, and divine guidance as he pilots the affairs of the University.
Speaking during the visit, the Chaplain noted that the Chaplaincy community deemed it necessary to formally felicitate with the Vice-Chancellor and assure him of their spiritual support throughout his tenure. He prayed that God would grant him the grace and insight required to lead the institution to greater heights.
Other notable personalities in the delegation included Emeritus Prof. Brian Adinma, Global President of the UNIZIK Alumni Association, Prof. Ikechukwu Umeh, and Prof. Ada Anyamene, among other distinguished members of the Chaplaincy community.
The highlight of the visit was the presentation of an enlarged portrait of the Vice-Chancellor to Prof. Anyaehie by the Chaplain on behalf of the Chaplaincy Council as a symbol of goodwill, honour, and support for his leadership.
In his response, the Vice-Chancellor expressed deep appreciation to the delegation for the visit, their prayers, and the thoughtful gesture, noting that spiritual support remains a vital pillar for purposeful leadership and institutional progress.
He reaffirmed his commitment to building a University anchored on excellence, unity, and service to humanity.
The visit further underscored the strong bond between the University leadership and faith-based communities committed to the moral, spiritual, and institutional growth of Nnamdi Azikiwe University.
