Historic Moment at the Department of Economics, UNIZIK.
A historic moment occurred on Tuesday, 17th February, 2026, at the Department of Economics, Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), as the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Bond Ugochukwu Stanley Anyaehie, paid his maiden visit to celebrate and commission a newly installed 30 KVA Solar Panel System. The solar project was generously donated by the Department’s benefactor, Mr. Raymond O. Olisa (Ohamadike), CEO of C-Ray Group Ltd, in support of sustainable power and academic excellence.
The Department also appreciated Madam Cordell Uzonwanne, the CEO of Alert Technology, Abuja for repainting the exterior of the building, contributing to a more conducive learning environment.
The Vice-Chancellor commended the benefactors for their commitment and emphasized the importance of partnerships in advancing the university’s development. This milestone marks a significant step toward reliable power supply and sustainable infrastructure in the Department of Economics, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
