    Make Exercise a Routine for Healthy Living, VC Charges Staff.

    The Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Prof. Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, has encouraged members of staff to incorporate light exercise into their daily routine for healthy living.
    The Vice-Chancellor gave this advice on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at the conclusion of a “Walk-for-Life” exercise involving staff of the University. He emphasized that regular physical activity is essential for the overall wellbeing and productivity of staff.
    Earlier, Prof. Anyaehie led the participants on a 30-minute walk which commenced from the Central Administrative Building, passed through major campus roads, and terminated at the Faculty of Social Sciences.
    Top management staff who participated in the exercise included the Registrar, Dr. Chinenye Gloria Okeke; the Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, Prof. Mike Ezenwa; the Chairman, University Sports Committee, Prof. Derek Orji; the Chief Safety Officer, Mr. Ken Chukwura; the Ag. Director, Information and Public Relations, Mr. Louis Njelita; and the Ag. Director of Sports/SSANU Chairperson, Mrs. Anthonia Chukwudi, among others.
    The exercise was organized by the Directorate of Sports in collaboration with the Faculty of Social Sciences as part of efforts to promote healthy living within the University community.
