Professor Kingsley Ubaoji Assumes Office as New Dean of Student Affairs.
On a historic note, Monday, 9th February, 2026, a formal handover ceremony was performed to mark the transition to the new Dean of Student Affairs, Professor Kingsley Ubaoji. During the handover ceremony, which took place in his office, the outgoing Dean, Professor Makodi Bierenu-Nnabugwu, expressed gratitude to God for a successful tenure and wished the incoming Dean a more fruitful and successful tenure in managing the affairs of the students.
In response, the new Dean, Professor Kingsley Ubaoji, thanked all those present for honouring the invitation despite the short notice. He emphasized that managing students is a serious business, and therefore, prayed to God to grant him wisdom. He noted that God gives power and opportunity, hence the need to appreciate His goodness.
Present at the occasion were Professor Helen Agu, Associate Dean; Dr. Anthony Apiti, Sub-Dean 1; Dr. Segun Adeniyi, Sub-Dean 2; Surveyor Dr. Chukwubueze Onwuzuligbo, Immediate Past Sub-Dean 1; Dr. Ebele Deborah Uba, Immediate Past Sub-Dean 2; and the University Ag. PRO, Mr. Njelita Louis.
