    Profs Okolie, Umeh, Onyenwe, and others, inaugurated as Committee Chairs for UNIZIK Advancement Board

    Member of the University Governing Council representing the Congregation (Teaching), Prof. Paul Okolie has been inaugurated as the Fundraising and Endowment Committee Head of the UNIZIK Advancement Board.

    Also appointed to Committee Heads in the Board included Prof. Ikechukwu Umeh, Alumni Relations, Prof. Ikechukwu Onyenwe for Advancement Communication Committee and Prof. Aniedu Azubike for Advancement Service Committee.

    Inaugurating the committee boards, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, (Administration), Prof. Hilda Osisioma in her speech reiterated the need for the Board to drive the University forward.

    The Vice-Chancellor noted that the Federal Government is very much interested in the workings of the University Advancement Boards. She expressed confidence in their ability to contribute meaningfully to the realisation of the University’s vision. More so, she noted that the purpose of the board is aimed at fostering unity with Alumni and Friends of the University, supporting infrastructure and academic development.

    Director of UNIZIK Advancement Board, Prof. Ebele Onwuka in a remark during the inauguration disclosed that every member of the committee was carefully selected by the Vice-Chancellor having known their pedigree.

    She therefore encouraged all the Members to embrace the spirit of collaboration, innovation, accountability and commitment to duty so that together they shall deliver on their mandate.

    She thanked the Vice Chancellor for the opportunity given to the different Committees to serve and promised that the Board will assist in the realisation of the University of our dreams.
