Admission Requirement:
O’level
5 O’ level credits to include English Language, Biology and any other 3 Science subjects with at least a pass in maths obtained in not more than two sittings.
Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
The candidate must be a graduate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University or a recognized University with at least a Third-Class degree or a minimum of lower Credit in the Higher National Diploma, HND, from a recognized Institution
The Postgraduate Diploma in Botany is open to first degree holders in Science Education, Microbiology, Zoology, Biology, Agriculture, Forestry, other areas in Pure and Applied Sciences. Also graduates with good HND/HNC in related Biological sciences are eligible to apply.
Master’s Degree (MSc)
- The candidate must have a first degree in the relevant discipline with an FCGPA of not less than 2.5 from Nnamdi Azikiwe University or a recognized University
- A candidate with a Postgraduate Diploma with an FCGPA of not less than 3.00 may also be admitted provided the University Matriculation requirements are satisfied
Admission to the programme is open to graduates with good B.Sc. degree in Botany, Plant Biology or Plant Science or in related discipline
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Degree
A candidate who holds a master’s degree in a relevant discipline with an FCGPA not less than 3.50 on a 5 Point Scale or an average of 60%, from Nnamdi Azikiwe University or a recognized University may be admitted provided the University Matriculation requirement is satisfied
