Areas of Specialization:

  • Film Reporting; (ii) Medical Physics; (iii) Medical Imaging; (iv) Radiation and Environmental Protection and Dosimetry; (v)     Radiological Education; (vi) Radiological Management; (vii) Radiotherapy and Oncology

 

Admission Requirement:

O’level

5 O’ level credits to include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, physics in not more than two sittings obtained at not more than two sittings

Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)

The candidate must be a graduate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University or a recognized University with at least a Third Class degree in Radiography/Radiological Sciences or a minimum of lower Credit in the Higher National Diploma, HND, from a recognized Institution

  • Holders of professional qualifications such as diploma of the collage Radiographers of London DCR (London): R.T (ARRT) USA, CAMRT (Canada), D.I.P. (Nig) or their equivalents.
  • A good degree in Physics, Radiobiology, Biological/Basic Medical, Physical Sciences and any other degree considered relevant and acceptable to the department.

 

Master’s Degree (MSc)

  1. The candidate must have a first degree in Radiography or its equivalent with an FCGPA of not less than 2.5 from Nnamdi Azikiwe University or a recognized University
  • Candidates with qualifications such as D.I.R. (London) R.T. DRRT (USA), CAMRT (Canada) D.I.R. (Nig) plus the appropriate Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) of this university or other recognized universities with at least credit level.
  • For M.Sc Radiation and Environmental protection and medical physics candidate with a good second class honours degree in physics, Geology, Chemistry, Biological, or physical sciences from this university or any University recognized by this university.
  • For M.Sc in health administration, candidates with a good second class honours degree from this university or any other university recognized by Nnamdi Azikiwe University in the public health and management may be considered.
  • For M.Sc in film interpretation candidates with MBBS may be considered.

2. A candidate with a Postgraduate Diploma with an FCGPA of not less than 3.00 may also be admitted provided            the University Matriculation requirements are satisfied

 

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Degree

A candidate who holds a master’s degree in Radiography with an FCGPA not less than 3.50 on a 5 Point Scale or an average of 60%, from Nnamdi Azikiwe University or a recognized University may be admitted provided the University Matriculation requirement is satisfied
