ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
O’level
5 O’ level credits to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any other 2 subjects from Chemistry, Geography, Economics, Biology, Fine Arts, Technical Drawing, Building Construction, Land Surveying and Agric. Science obtained at not more than two sittings.
Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
The candidate must be a graduate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University or a recognized University with at least a Third Class degree or a minimum of lower Credit in the Higher National Diploma, HND, in Surveying and Geoinformatics from a recognized Institution
- Candidates who hold professional qualifications in Surveying and Geoinformatics such as FRICS, or its equivalent.
Master’s Degree (MSc)
- The candidate must have a first degree in Surveying and Geoinformatics with an FCGPA of not less than 2.5 from Nnamdi Azikiwe University or a recognized University
- Graduates of related disciplines may be admitted for Masters Degree in Geographic Information Systems, if they have obtained their degree with at least a second class honours ( lower division).
2. A candidate with a Postgraduate Diploma in Surveying and Geoinformatics with an FCGPA of not less than 3.0 may also be admitted provided the University Matriculation requirements are satisfied
- Holders of Postgraduate Diplomas in Geographic Information System with FCGPA of not less than 3.5 on 5 point scale can be admitted for Masters in Geographic Information System.
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Degree
A candidate who holds a master’s degree in a relevant discipline with an FCGPA not less than 3.50 on a 5 Point Scale or an average of 60%, from Nnamdi Azikiwe University or a recognized University may be admitted provided the University Matriculation requirement is satisfied.
