Security Firm donates Sienna Bus to Safety Unit

A private Security firm, Blueshield Security Company on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, donated a Sienna Bus to the Safety unit of the University.

Presenting the vehicle to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Charles Okechukwu Esimone, FAS, at the Administrative building, the Chairman of the Company, Ozo Jeff Ezechukwu Nweke explained that the gesture was geared towards assisting the University in the fight against crime.

Ozo Nweke, who was represented by the firm’s accountant, Mr. Modestus Mmogbo, averred that the donation was part of the company’s numerous ways of assisting institutions in crime control.

In his response, the Vice-Chancellor expressed gratitude to the benefactor whom according to him, has redeemed a promise barely one week after it was made.

Describing the gesture as uncommon, Professor Esimone assured Ozo Nweke that the vehicle will be effectively deployed to assist the Safety unit in their duties.

 

Present at the event include Nkiru Mogor from Blueshield, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Professor Joeeph Ikechebelu, the Chief Safety Officer of the University, Ken Chukwurah and the Deputy Director, International Corporation and Linkages, Mr. Sunday Nduka.
