The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), Anambra State Branch, under the leadership of Sir Dr. Ifeanyi Nwanna, HCIB as Chairman and Dr. Patrick Mbanefo, FCIB as Second Vice Chairman (both of the Department of Banking and Finance), held her 2022 Annual Business Luncheon, Lectures and Awards day at the Vertex View Hotels and Suites on December 3, 2022.
Key highlight of the day were:
1. The Award of Service Excellence to our Vice Chancellor, Professor Charles O. Esimone for his support to the CIBN – Unizik Linkage Programme. This award was received on behalf of the VC by the brand new action Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Professor P.V.C. Okoye.
2. The announcement of a Legacy Project of the CIBN for the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka by the President and Chairman of Council of CIBN, Ken Opara Ph.D, FCIB who was ably represented by the First Vice President of CIBN, Professor Deji Olanrewaju, FCIB.
The occasion which was chaired by Hon. Justice CEK Anigbogu (rtd.), was attended by top dignitries from the Academia, Banks, Government and the Corporate World.
Our own Dr. Patrick Mbanefo, FCIB also served as the chairman of the Business Luncheon Organizing Committee.
