Time consciousness and management has been described as key in achieving goals and results set by any reputable organisation.
These were the submissions of UNIZIK Vice Chancellor, Prof. Charles Esimone during an interview with UNIZIK FM Correspondents Iyke Nwokedi and Chioma Mofunanya.
Prof. Esimone stated that time is an important resource in any organisation as it is a veritable component in achieving set goals and objectives for any firm or Institution which places high premium on excellence. The Professor of Biopharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Microbiology further enthused that concerted efforts should be made to arouse and sustain time consciousness in the University so as to ensure that all activities in the Institution commence at the scheduled time.
Prof. Esimone also said that timeliness was the first issue his administration had to uphold as it was almost becoming a norm in the University community that its members do not keep to it. He stated that since his administration came on board he had instilled orderliness, consciousness and time management as seen in important events such as Senate meetings and inaugural lecture series. The Chief Executive Officer also said that he has also ensured that penalties are well applied to defaulters where necessary.
