UNIZIK Commences First Semester Examinations for 2025/2026 Academic Session.
The first semester examinations for the 2025/2026 Academic Session officially commenced on Monday, March 2, 2026, at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, marking a significant academic milestone for students across various faculties and centres.
*Vice-Chancellor Charges Students on Integrity and Excellence.*
In his address to students before the commencement of the examinations, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, emphasized the importance of discipline, hard work, and integrity. He urged students to approach their examinations with confidence, adequate preparation, and a calm mindset, noting that anxiety often undermines performance.
He further reminded students that they are ambassadors of the University and must conduct themselves in a manner that upholds the institution’s reputation for academic excellence. Stressing zero tolerance for examination malpractice, the Vice-Chancellor warned that any student found engaging in dishonest practices would face the full weight of the University’s regulations. According to him, no circumstance justifies compromising one’s integrity.
*Monitoring and Compliance*
A monitoring team from the Public Relations Unit, led by the Ag. PRO, Mr. Njelita Louis, undertook a tour of various examination centres to assess the level of compliance and organization. The team reported that examinations commenced promptly across the centres visited, reflecting effective coordination by the University’s management and academic units.
Students were observed to be orderly, composed, and fully engaged in their examination papers. Invigilators, supervisors, and examination coordinators were present at their designated posts, ensuring strict adherence to examination guidelines. There was visible compliance with seating arrangements and other regulatory measures put in place to guarantee transparency and fairness.

At the Digital Library, where Computer-Based Tests (CBT) were conducted, technical arrangements were reported to be functioning effectively, with students smoothly accessing their examination platforms under proper supervision.
