UNIZIK Confucius Institute shines again, attains Global Top-15 Ranking, 85.1% pass rate in HSKK Results
The Confucius Institute (C1) at Nnamdi Azikiwe University has continued to maintain its winning streak and international dominance as a leading HSKK test centre in Africa.
On 16 June 2026, Chinese Testing International released the global results statistics for the HSKK Intermediate Speaking Test conducted on 16 May 2026. A total of 47 candidates from the Confucius Institute at Nnamdi Azikiwe University participated in the examination and achieved an overall pass rate of 85.1%.
According to the statistics released by Chinese Testing International, as of December 2025 there were 1,416 HSK/HSKK test centres across 166 countries and regions worldwide.
In the May 2026 HSKK Intermediate Speaking Test, the CI UNIZIK test centre achieved an average score of 66.64, significantly outperforming the global average of 47.15 by 19.49 points.
Following the positive development, As a result, the UNIZIK CI test centre has been ranked 15th globally among all test centres, further consolidating its position among the leading HSKK test centres in Africa and worldwide.
Speaking on this milestone, the Chinese Director, Confucius Institute at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Prof. Yu Zhangbao described the achievement as a strong testament to the quality of Chinese language education at our University.
