UNIZIK Governing Council Constitutes Budget Monitoring Committee.
The Governing Council of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, has constituted the Budget Monitoring Committee of Council at its 20th Emergency Meeting held on Thursday, 26th February, 2026.
Constituting the Committee, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Barr. Olugbenga Kukuoyi, charged members to remain committed to promoting the University’s goals with utmost passion, dedication, and transparency. He emphasized the importance of prudent financial oversight and accountability in advancing the institution’s development agenda.
Membership of the Committee:
1.Mr. Nojeeb Oriola Agunbiade (External Member of Council) – Chairman
2.Prof. Igwebuike Victor Onyiaorah (Senate Representative) – Member
3.Prof. Paul Okolie (Congregation Representative) – Member
4.Comrade Dr. Innocent Nnubia (ASUU Representative) – Member
5.Comrade Engr. Chinedu Umembamalu (NAAT Representative) – Member
6.Comrade Anthonia Chukwudi (SSANU Representative) – Member
7.Comrade Chigozie Ikegulu (NASU Representative) – Member
8.Comrade Samuel Ochuba (SUG Representative) – Member
9.Ohanu Michaels (Registrar’s Representative/Secretary).
In addition, the Director of Procurement, as well as representatives of the Bursar and the Director of Physical Planning, will attend Committee meetings to provide technical support and guidance.
The constitution of the Budget Monitoring Committee underscores Council’s resolve to strengthen financial governance and ensure effective monitoring of budget implementation in the University.
