UNIZIK Northern Forum Community Commends VC on Reforms, Development Initiatives



The Northern Forum Community of Nnamdi Azikiwe University has reaffirmed their support for the administration of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie commending various strides recorded under him within the short period of his leadership.
Chairman of the Forum, Mohammed Seidu who made the commendation on Monday, 18th May, 2026 while leading a delegation on a courtesy call to the Vice Chancellor in his office, said the visit was aimed at formally introducing the group to the Vice-Chancellor and strengthening their relationship with the University administration.
He noted that the Forum considered it important for the Vice-Chancellor to personally know members of the community, while also creating an avenue for interaction and collaboration.
Mohammed commended Prof. Anyaehie for what he described as visible improvements in the University within a few months of his administration. According to him, the institution has witnessed remarkable progress in academic programmes, research output, and infrastructural development.
He further appreciated the Vice-Chancellor for fostering an enabling environment where innovation and ideas are recognised, while staff members are motivated and encouraged to excel in their various responsibilities.
Responding, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, thanked the delegation for the visit, noting that he was pleasantly surprised and delighted to learn about the existence of such a forum within the University community. He described the visit as thoughtful and important, adding that unity, inclusiveness, and cooperation among staff members remain essential for the growth and progress of the institution.
Prof. Anyaehie assured members of the Forum of his administration’s commitment to creating a conducive environment for all staff and students to thrive. He encouraged them to maintain open communication with the University management, especially on issues affecting their welfare and productivity.
The Vice-Chancellor further urged members of the Forum not to hesitate to bring forward suggestions, concerns, or challenges that may hinder the smooth running of their duties, emphasising that collective effort and dialogue are necessary to move the University forward. He reiterated that his administration remains committed to continuous improvement, transparency and policies that will strengthen academic excellence and institutional development.
