UNIZIK VC nominated Honorary Fellow, Nigerian Optometric Association
The Nigerian Optometric Association (NOA) has announced the nomination of UNIZIK Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie into the prestigious Honorary Fellowship of its association.
Chairman, Education Committee of the Nigerian Optometric Association, Dr. Augustine Ugochukwu Akujobi disclosed during a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor in his office on Wednesday, 13th May 2026.
Presenting the Honorary Fellowship Nomination Letter and invitation to their forthcoming Annual Scientific Conference and Vision Expo of the Nigerian Optometric Association (NOA) in collaboration with the African Council of Optometry (AFCO), Dr Akujiobi disclosed that the Vice Chancellor is being honoured in recognition of his distinguished contributions to academic and institutional development.
He praised the Vice Chancellor for his administrative reforms and innovations at Nnamdi Azikiwe University within the first few months of his assumption of office.
The Vice Chancellor while receiving the delegation, appreciated the association for the honour and the invitation, while reaffirming the university’s commitment to supporting professional bodies and advancing healthcare-related collaborations.
The conference and award ceremony are scheduled to be held from Wednesday, 29th July, to Saturday, 1st August, 2026 at the Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja.
