

UNIZIK VC RECEIVES MEMBERS OF THE NEEDS RE-ASSESSMENT COMMITTEE.
On Monday, 23rd March, 2026, the Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Prof. Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, received members of the NEEDS Re-Assessment Committee on NEEDS Assessment Intervention Projects, who were in the University for the monitoring and evaluation of ongoing projects.
Addressing the delegation at the Council Chamber, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Alex Asigbo, who represented the Vice-Chancellor, assured the team of a conducive and supportive environment to effectively carry out their assignment. He emphasized the University’s readiness to provide all necessary information and cooperation required to facilitate a smooth and successful exercise.
Earlier in his remarks, the Team Leader of the delegation from the Federal Ministry of Education, Dr. Hassan Makola, stated that their visit was in line with their statutory responsibility to assess and monitor the implementation of NEEDS intervention projects within the University.
Other members of the delegation from the Federal Ministry of Education included Mrs. Olajubu A. O. and Mrs. Akpa J. N.
Members of the Budget Monitoring Committee present at the meeting included Mr. Nojeeb Agunbiade; Engr. Prof. Paul Okolie; Prof. Igwebuike Onyiaorah; the Bursar, Mr. Gozie Egwuatu; Director of Physical Planning, Engr. Ralph Okeke; Chairperson of SSANU, Comrade Anthonia Chukwudi; Chairman of NAAT, Comrade Chinedu Umembamalu; Chairman of NASU, Comrade Chigozie Ikegulu; Director of Procurement, Mr. Damian Oduche; as well as representatives of the Student Union Government.
The visit underscores the Federal Government’s commitment to ensuring accountability, transparency, and quality delivery in the execution of intervention projects across tertiary institutions.
