UNIZIK VC to Deliver Keynote Address at 5th AMTY Awards
Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Professor Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, will deliver the keynote address at the 5th Anambra Man of the Year (AMTY) Awards, organisers have announced.
AMTY is an annual initiative of 100 Achievers to celebrate and spotlight the brightest talents, leaders, and changemakers from Anambra State. It is a private, non-governmental platform dedicated to inspiring the next generation by recognising excellence, service, and impact across all sectors.
Themed “Unstoppable Anambra,” this year’s event will celebrate the achievements of distinguished Anambra indigenes who have excelled in various fields of human endeavour while promoting the state’s culture of excellence and innovation.
According to the organisers, Prof. Anyaehie’s keynote is expected to highlight the resilience, innovation and leadership that have shaped Anambra’s development and inspired its people.

The AMTY Awards have featured notable personalities as keynote speakers over the years, including Stella Okunna, the first female Professor of Mass Communication in Sub-Saharan Africa; George Moghalu; Francisca Nwafulugo; and Cecilia Emeh.
The awards ceremony scheduled for Saturday, 18th July 2026 by 12pm at the Stanel Dome, Awka will recognise outstanding Anambra sons and daughters whose contributions have made significant impacts in business, education, public service, entrepreneurship, and other sectors.
Prof. Anyaehie, a Professor of Physiology and Clinical Measurements, became the 7th substantive Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University in November 2025. He has recorded significant achievements in the university and also consistently advocated academic excellence, innovation and institutional development.
