On Tuesday, 9 December 2025, the Vice‑Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Prof. Bond Uguchukwu Anyaehie, received the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) RSS 3, Anambra State, Commander Bridget Asekhaun, in his office during a courtesy visit.
The Sector Commander’s personal assistant, Ifeanyi Eke, gave a brief overview of Commander Asekhaun’s profile, highlighting her administrative excellence and distinguished service. In her address, Commander Asekhaun conveyed greetings to Prof. Anyaehie and expressed interest in exploring broader areas of collaboration with the university. She thanked the Vice‑Chancellor for the opportunity to meet.
Commander Asekhaun outlined the core duties of the FRSC, including the issuance of drivers’ licences, road‑safety management and related programmes.
In his response, Prof. Anyaehie commended her credentials and expressed enthusiasm for the partnership. He noted that UNIZIK ranks as the fifth‑most sought‑after university in Nigeria and, by God’s grace, is among the fastest‑growing institutions in Africa. He explained that the university already trains many FRSC personnel through its certificate programmes and invited the Corps to make greater use of the university’s e‑learning platform. The Vice‑Chancellor pledged continued support to the FRSC.
Other delegation members present were Jude Nuamai, Head of Operations; I. C. Ezaka, Head of Special Duties; the protocol officer; and the orderly.
The highlight of the visit was the presentation of a pack of flyers on FRSC operations to the Vice‑Chancellor.
