UNIZIK Vice-Chancellor Inspects Emeka Anyaoku Institute for International Studies.
Professor Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, undertook an inspection visit to the Emeka Anyaoku Institute for International Studies as part of his ongoing familiarization tour of key academic units of the University.
Upon arrival, the Director of the Institute, Professor Au Nnonyelu, warmly received the Vice-Chancellor and expressed his appreciation for the latter’s commitment to and interest in the growth and development of the Institute. Professor Nnonyelu subsequently conducted the Vice-Chancellor on a tour of the facility, providing detailed explanations on the Institute’s operations, programmes, and its role in advancing international studies and global scholarship within the University.
During the inspection, Professor Anyaehie reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening academic institutes and enhancing their capacity to deliver on their mandate. He assured the Institute of the University management’s support in addressing its challenges, particularly in the areas of scholarship development and provision of recreational and academic facilities.
The Vice-Chancellor noted that the Emeka Anyaoku Institute occupies a strategic position in promoting global perspectives, research excellence, and international collaboration, in line with UNIZIK’s vision of academic distinction.
The visit formed part of the Vice-Chancellor’s broader efforts to assess facilities, engage stakeholders, and reposition the University for greater excellence.
