    The Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Prof. Bond Ugochukwu Anyaehie, on Friday, December 12, 2025,
    paid a courtesy visit to the Archbishop of the Province on the Niger, Most Rev’d Alexander Chibuzo Ibezim, Ph.D, at his Awka Diocese headquarters.
    During the visit, the Archbishop, who is also the Anglican Bishop of Awka, dedicated the Vice-Chancellor before God at the Chapel and prayed for his success as the 7th substantive Vice-Chancellor of the University. Bishop Ibezim emphasized that when the righteous is on the throne, the people rejoice, and briefed the Vice-Chancellor on the various successes recorded by the Church under his watch, including the establishment of a College of Nursing, Paul University, the Polytechnic at Mgbakwu, and a College of Education located at Nise.
    The Archbishop remarked that the successes are miraculous, and called on the Vice-Chancellor to remain focused, as the office will not swallow him, but instead bring him more grace. He assured Prof. Anyaehie of his support, stating that his success remains the success of the Church, and said, “You are on the success pathway”.
    A member of the Bishop’s Court official and Director of Unizik Centre for Water Resources, Prof. Emma Ezenwaji, assured the Vice-Chancellor that he has dependable hands around him, saying their prayers are that he should work with the best.
    In his response, the Vice-Chancellor thanked the Archbishop for the warm reception and expressed his steadfastness in the worship of the Lord, dedicating his success in life to the grace of God.
    Prof. Anyaehie promised not to let him down as he strives to govern with the fear of God and thrust on fairness.
    Present during the occasion were; Venerable Anayo Nkamnebe, former Director, Unizik Business School, Prof. Harry Obi-Nwosu, Director Centre for Counseling and Career Development, Prof. Cliff Nwana, Rector, Renaissance Polytechnic, Mgbakwu, Dr. Matthew Izuchukwu Anushiem, HOD, Clinical Legal Education, Faculty of Law, and the Diocesan Registrar of Awka Diocese, among others.
