The Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Prof. Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, recently received a delegation from the Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA), UNIZIK Chapter, in a courtesy visit led by Chairman Mr Emmanuel C. Nnaemeka in his office.
During the visit, Mr Nnaemeka conveyed the group’s gratitude for the Vice-Chancellor’s time and support, particularly emphasising his early commitment to their development through the approval of a training program and the provision of a vehicle before their formal introduction. He also informed Prof. Anyaehie about ANUPA’s annual function, inviting him to grace the occasion and declare the program open. As a gesture of goodwill, he presented the ANUPA sash to the Vice-Chancellor.
Dr Chineye Okeke, the University Registrar, took the opportunity to officially congratulate Prof. Anyaehie on his appointment as the 7th substantive Vice-Chancellor. She assured him of the administrative staff’s commitment to collaborating with him to achieve the university’s goals. Dr Okeke introduced the ANUPA section of the registry, describing its role as a training unit and stressing the importance of staff development. She appealed for the Vice-Chancellor’s support for future training programs.
In response, Prof. Anyaehie expressed his appreciation for the delegation’s visit and reiterated his readiness to support their initiatives, particularly in training. He acknowledged the necessity of professional development and pledged to approve their programs whenever possible.
The delegation included several notable members, such as Tevin Anyali, Secretary; Samuel Unegbu, Treasurer; Barr. Ifeoma E. Nnolim, Legal Officer; Jibike Viola Uchenna, Editor-in-Chief; and other key representatives, along with Modebelu Victor, the former Acting Registrar.
