The Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Prof. Ugochukwu Stanley Bond Anyaehie, officially commissioned Ugokings Oil & Gas on Wednesday, 10th December 2025.
The commissioning performed by Prof. Ugochukwu Stanley Bond Anyaehie at Amansea, Awka North, attracted community stakeholders and well-wishers to mark the launch of the new venture, which aims to contribute to local economic growth.
Prof. Bond Anyaehie commended the CEO’s entrepreneurial initiative, describing the role of such investments in fostering development and creating jobs.
In his remarks, the company’s CEO, Mr Igboka Kingsley Ugonna, thanked the Vice-Chancellor for his presence, describing the project as the result of a determined vision to serve the community.
“The company will employ 10 UNIZIK students as part-time staff, particularly for night shifts, offering competitive salaries to help them gain work experience while studying”, he stated.
