EXECUTIVE DOCTORATE BY RESEARCH IN CLINICAL SCIENCES.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS AND PROCEDURE
1.0 ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Academic staff who is a Professor or Reader with Full Medical Fellowship (Part11) shall be eligible to apply. Such a candidate shall have:
- Publications – A minimum of 5 scientific publications in the respective area of specialization, with clearly identifiable or defined theme and focus, published in an indexed journal, visible online obtained within the preceding five years from the date factor of 1.0. These papers shall be work done in Nigeria.
- Google Scholar citation – the minimum acceptable score should be 300.
- Authorship – the candidate must be the first or corresponding author in at least two of the publications in (i) above.
2.0 DURATION OF THE PROGRAMME
Candidates will be required to present three Seminars in the respective area of specialization during the course of two or three semesters. The minimum duration is two (2) semesters and the maximum duration is three (3) semesters.
3.0 METHOD OF APPLICATION
3.1 Application form should be completed online by logging onto https://myedu.unizik.edu.ng/postgraduate
Step 1: Click on Postgraduate School, then select ‘Generate Application form Invoice’
Step 2: Fill the Invoice generation form and click on ‘Generate invoice’
Step 3: After generating the invoice, go to the bank and make payment or click on Pay with Card to purchase the
form with a Debit card.
Step 4: Obtain your RRR then revisit the Portal: myedu.unizik.edu.ng to complete the Application form.
Step 5: Download and print your Acknowledgment Form and Transcript Request form to be sent to your former
institution for your academic transcripts. Any change of name should be indicated in the transcript form.
Applicants should include the names, phone numbers and e-mail addresses of three Referees. At least two of the referees must be Academics not lower than the rank of professor.
PhD applicants in submitting their forms shall upload the following documents:
- Letter of Promotion to Reader/Professor
- Letter of Appointment as Academic Staff
- Medical Fellowship Certificate (Part 11) or its equivalent.
Note: Sale of forms continues throughout the year while Programme commencement dates are: January, March, June and October annually as interested candidates may choose.
